Golf Course Selection
New Course, St Andrews - This is a fine traditional links which runs adjacent to the Old and many consider is more difficult. It is a British Amateur Championship venue and over 100 years old - so not so new!
Old Course, St. Andrews Ballot - It is essential for all keen golfers to make a pilgrimage to play this fine old links at least once in their life. To play the course you must possess handicap certification and a maximum handicap of 24 for Gents and 36 for Ladies. We have based your quotation on the Old Course Ballot. This is where we enter your names in a ballot (lottery) the day before you plan to play and you discover whether you have been successful by 4pm. Over 50% of tee times are allocated in this way but there are no guarantees of success. If unlucky with the Ballot result there are numerous top class courses that we can arrange tee times at short notice in the vicinity to St Andrews. Any green fee savings would be refunded directly to the Golfers.
Kingsbarns, nr St. Andrews - Kingsbarns is only 6 miles from St. Andrews. With its true links turf, contoured rolling fairways and majestic vistas of the sea this course is already considered to be a classic. The sea plays an integral role in the course design and the sandy dunes also feature prominently in enhancing the course landscape. As Sir Michael Bonallack (recently retired Secretary of the R&A) remarks - "Kingsbarns might well be one of the last true seaside links sites capable of development in Scotland. It is an extraordinary setting".
Carnoustie - Hosted an exciting Open Championship in 2007, but will probably be better remembered for 1999 when Jean Van De Velde came unstuck at the final hole forfeiting a 3 shot lead. The narrow fairways and high rough which that Championship was remembered for are now no longer such feature and Visitors can look forward to a beautifully conditioned course where accuracy is rewarded but poor course management exposed.
Accommodation Selection
St Andrews Golf Hotel - (not to be confused with the Old Course Hotel). Two minutes walk from the first tee of the Old Course, this exclusive small boutique hotel is soon to have its name changed to Hotel du Vin and is set for further enhancements later this year. It enjoys panoramic views of the sea and its central location ensures you can reach most parts of the town by walking. With only 22 bedrooms the hotel can offer a highly personalised service. It has an award winning restaurant, a cocktail bar and at the base of the hotel it owns Ma Belles Tavern, which is one of the most popular and lively pubs in town.

OR
Ogstons on North St, St Andrews - is ideally located only 5 minutes walk from the 1st tee of the Old Course. Under young energetic management, this 3 star hotel completed a major refurbishment in summer 2009. There is an excellent restaurant and a lively and popular basement bar. The rooms are colourfully decorated and kitted out with dvd, cd and satellite. The style of the venue is a mixture of contemporary comfort and traditional hospitality.
