Golf Course of the Season 2025 – Royal Aberdeen

In his humble opinion, Gordon Adam thinks that Royal Aberdeen is one of the finest links in the country. Although relentlessly difficult it is also great fun. With undulating fairways and well-protected greens it is challenging enough without throwing into the equation tough wind conditions that are a frequent feature of the 18 holes.

This is the setting that one of the best American Walker Cup teams faced in 2011. The team included the household names of Patrick Cantlay, Harris English, Russell Henley and Jordan Speith. On this occasion the unfriendly weather conditions were too much for the well-fancied American team and the GB and Irish won a rare victory.

Royal Aberdeen is the 6^th oldest golf club in the world and will not disappoint. We strongly recommend including the club in a tour of Scotland’s greatest links.
