Situated along the road from the stunning conservation village of Kenmore, the Scottish Crannog Centre is a 5 star, authentic reconstruction of an early Iron Age loch-dwelling which was built by the Scottish Trust for Underwater Archaeology. It is extremely interesting and the demonstration of how a Crannog was constructed, maintained and how the tools were used in daily life is educational and informative. It is amazing to think that these structures housed upwards of 20 people and existed on the Loch for as many as 200 years. Definitely worth the time to visit!
